My name is Michael Spangler.  I am a Registered Massage Therapist and a graduate of Grant MacEwan College, since 2007.  I had found massage to be beneficial for me, over the years, so I decided to become a massage therapist, too.   I offer deep tissue, therapeutic massage.  I have a unique approach to massage, that involves "listening"(sensing) for tension  in the muscle, meeting its resistance and waiting for the muscle, to let go.  I enjoy massage and I feel good about the skills I have, to assess, treat and to help resolve issues, people are having in different areas in their body, such as in their low back,  legs, upper back, neck and arm areas.  I have a  wholistic approach to treating a problem area...as I look at the surrounding muscles, to see how they might be contributing to the problem, the client is experiencing; not just the problem area itself.  Most of the feedback I get from the clients I have massaged is, they are not that sore the next day, even though, my pressure feels deep. My approach to massage is interactive, as I encourage feedback from the client, during  the treatment. 

I am grateful to be a massage therapist and to be in a position of  helping  others, in this way.

I also provide Reiki sessions, as I am a Reiki Master. Reiki involves using Chi, a universal healing energy to bring healing and to restore balance to the body. It is very relaxing.  If you are interested in a session, you can book with the clinic or with me personally. I teach Traditional Japanese Reiki.  It is an excellent system, which is close to how the founder of Reiki, initiated his students.
